Highpointe Estate Highlight - 718 Creative

Kevin from 718 Creative is amazing. If you don't know him, you should take the time to get to know him. He is an amazing person and super talented behind the camera. Recently, he interviewed our Publisher Katelyn Lakey on her experience at Highpointe Estate - check it out below!

Have you heard of HighPointe Estate? Are you planning a wedding or attending a wedding there? Whether the name is new or familiar to you, we promise you’re going to want to learn more about it!

6 days ago we had the privilege to shoot a wedding at HighPointe Estate and it was everything we wanted it to be and more! Taylor + Jim’s wedding (their video is in process, but it’s going to ah-may-zinggg!) had a dream team of vendors (see tags/links at the bottom) and was the perfect celebration we all needed coming out of quarantine. But at least 5 or 6 times throughout the day I caught myself staring at the beauty of HighPointe Estate and thinking to myself “how am I lucky enough to be filming here!”

After dreaming of starting a venue for years Dawson & Leanne Clark put their dreams into action and it is perfect! Nestled on 42 acres just north of Austin, TX Highpointe Estate immediately became one of Texas' Premier Wedding Venues from the moment it opened. It's easy to see why. The beautiful & intentional architecture, the impeccable layout, and run by two of the kindest people on the planet.

Highpointe Estate really is a dream come true!

We got to spend 10 glorious hours on the property, but I wanted you to hear from someone who’s spent a much longer time on property. Katelyn of Kate Rose Creative Group was Taylor + Jim’s coordinator, but did you know she’s also the publisher of the amazing Book of Beautiful Weddings!? She’s walked with HighPointe from the beginning of construction through today so I knew she was the perfect person to bring on.

Why is HighPointe Estate one of the venues you suggest to your brides?

Every inch of the venue was meticulously planned, and is so beautifully done. Dawson had a vision and brought it to life exactly as he had planned it to be. Dawson is one of my most favorite people ever and I love his love for his venue and couples.

What sets HighPointe Estate apart from other venues?

There are SO many things, but if I had to pick one it’s the size for our area. It's large and beautiful and it has a chapel included which is something a lot of brides are looking for. The outdoor area is also incredible and there are no details left out in the bridal suite, groom's quarters and bathrooms.

Any suggestions for how to make the most of the venue?

Use all the spaces it offers! Every space is breathtaking in a different, yet cohesive way. The chapel, the gathering hall, the outdoor ceremony tree, the terrace, the great lawn, the bride’s suite and even the groom’s suite are all GORGEOUS. So much goodness throughout, you don’t want your guests to miss out on any of it!

Was June 27th your first wedding to coordinate at HighPointe Estate? How was the experience?

Yes! I loved it! It was a COVID wedding and the venue staff worked their tails off to make it all that it was. Even amidst the rapidly changing ordinances they kept their cool, kept us all safe, and kept the party going.

What's one or two big takeaways after last weekend?

No matter what is thrown your way, at the end of the day, a wedding is happening and its the start of a marriage and that’s what really, REALLY matters. Hire professionals to ensure all details are taken care of and that there is someone working on your behalf to handle whatever is thrown your way (like a global pandemic).
