OH MY, 2016—Beautiful things have happened especially the very first volume of The Book of Beautiful Weddings! Some days I want to pinch myself it is so unreal to have this. Pulling together all of the pieces is my strong point, but the design of our magazine was MAGICAL—Teresa Williams, you are fabulous and no one can compare. Each page and layout was designed from scratch and I am still in awe. Teresa and Lily, you both have been the very best partners a girl could ask for and I'm happy to spend days/hours/weeks sitting working or in endless group iMessages making this the best it can be. I seriously won the friend lottery!
Originality is a virtue. While inspired by so many amazing creators around me, I personally cling to my individual style while growing each year. The magazine is no exception: We come up with new, fresh ideas every step of the way making it a point to be sure our work stands out, never imitating or copying the work of others. We were the first ever Central Texas wedding magazine to showcase the work of the best of the best in full-length features on gowns, design, catering, flowers, beauty, stationery, rentals and also to showcase so many real weddings. REAL WEDDINGS are it y'all. Styled shoots are great, but it is the most special experience to get to work with brides and grooms to design days that will hold places in their hearts for eternity and to be present in those wedding day moments.
I'm thrilled about the beautiful weddings this coming year and better and better volumes of TBBW to come. We are so very grateful to all of the amazing wedding pros I get to share this journey with and who had faith in us this first magazine. I have seen first-hand how much hard work every single one of you puts into creating these days—work that makes your hands hurt and your hearts full. We are the creators, the thinkers, the magic-makers that live for this day in and day out and I am glad to have the pleasure and honor of working with you ladies and men.
